I'LL TAKE MANHATTAN

I'LL TAKE MANHATTAN

Think about this:

Brooklyn is a pair of strong, brown, durable, practical shoes. Clarks.

Manhattan is a pair of nude, sleek, shiny, painful but wickedly sexy heels. Manolo Blahnik no less. Pinches you and makes you terribly uncomfortable but you love it. You love how it makes you feel. How it enfolds you in its cocoon of illusions and grandeur. How it makes you feel you are something more fantastic than otherwise thought, and you're up to something wise and profound in life.

With each ache, you stand up straighter, confident that it'll expand to accommodate your feet by the next step. And even after you've hobbled from avenues through streets many lifetimes later with no signs of expansion, you still hold your torch of liberty above your head, never mind the flames have gone with the shallow winds.

You'll take Manhattan , again and again.

Brooklyn? Please keep your practicality to yourself.

Wicked but Awesome Blahniks

  2. 😃 such a nice allegorical piece. I can see this being a nice tease to a larger story.
